Tommy Rogers graciously opened his shop to all carvers who wanted to hone their head-carving skills.

May 5, 2007.  We broke at 12 noon for hot dogs and fixings and some of the group stayed around
until around 4 pm carving and learning Tommy's techniques...From the beginner to the accomplished
carver, all said they learned something new and useful...Thanks Tommy!

Step 1 of drawing the carving lines

Step 4, notice how he's marked crown before removing wood to round the head

Step 5, wood removed in order to begin shaping the head and cheek

Step 6, eye channel and facial muscles cut in as well as bill shaped
